Christmas Day

Christmas day was spent with my side of the family particularly my parents. We went to KKK in Mall of Asia to have our lunch and glad we did because all the food ivan ordered was a knockout especially their signature dish sinigang na lechon.

After lunch we decided to go bowling instead of the usual timezone affair. The lola and lolo was so proud of their apo especially since this is the first time they saw Ian play bowling and let me just say that my son can play, in fact he went head to head with his dad loosing just by one point. Paeng Nepomuceno better watch out.

It was still early when we dropped off my parents so we went to bonifacio high street where Ian saw the huge dislay of lego structures fronting Hobbes and Landes.  He spent a lot of time scrutinizing the displays and kept asking his dad if  they could make it. Hay naku kulitan time na nama!

Dinos ALive

Hubby and my adorable son went to the Dinos Alive in MOA. Their outing turned into a major father and son bonding that lasted for four hours. Even though the entrance fees was a bit pricey, we all decided that it was worth it.

There were lifelike T-rexes...

Cousins of sarah in "The land before Time" series...

Train rides that go under caves...

And a big sand box area for fossil hunting...

There were a lot to see and do to entertain the kids and the kids at heart. In fact, hubby and tabachuchi spent an awful long time there. I should know, next time I saw them was night time already. Sinulit!

Chocolate Buffet

I have been reading and salivating about the Manila Pen Chocolate Buffet ever since they started their run. I have been hinting about this to hubby for quite some time now and knowing that I would not stop pestering him about this, he gave in one friday. We had dinner first and went to the Pen around nine p.m. The lobby of the Pen was just breathtaking, the christmas tree, the lights and the music was just divine and it really will perk you up in to a romantic mood. The ambiance was just the opening teaser. When the lady host seated us near the chocolate buffet ( my choice by the way) I gulped at the sight of an awesome chocolate buffet spread in front of me, I almost fainted. I was like a participant in an updated version of "Charlie and the chocolate Factory" and kept waiting for charlie to come out and greet me buti na lang gwapo yung isang waiter and accomodating (wink). Yummy oh so yummy! I really thought that I would be able to try everything on the spread but apparently halfway through this gastronomical adventure I was sure I was going to puke due to chocolate overload. I had to sit back and relax, drink chamomile tea and just enjoy the pleasure of the experience.

Kulang na lang malunok ko yung spoon.

Just one of the many offerings...

Sayang I wasnt able to take the picture of the two buffet tables must be the effect of over excitement.

Best Hamburger in Town

My hubby and I had a word war a couple of days ago. Now usually after a fight like that, I'm always in a quiet mood and really try to avoid any kind of EENT contact with the Mr. What really makes me love my husband more is how he makes me laugh every time he comes up with creative ideas to make peace with me. So to cut the long story short, the hubby prepared for me the most delicious hamburger sandwich I have ever tasted (of course I'm biased) in life. He did all this in the kitchen while I was in the bedroom moping the next day. I just loved it. Guess what happened afterwards? sus! e di we shared the whole burger. Who ever said that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach forgot that it holds through for women as well. Especially me! hahahahah :-)

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Christmas is just not complete without the decorations and the trimmings that goes a long with making the season more merrier. I'm happy to say that hubby has just finished putting up our christmas tree. My son Ian, could not hide the excitement in his face when he saw his daddy pulling out the tree from the box and seeing all the other boxes of ornaments and lights that we have accumulated from past christmases.

This is ian putting on a christmas ball on the tree. See his face on the second pic, priceless. Now by this time as much as I hated to distract him from this activity, I had to bribe him into going with me to Market Market to accompany his lolo to the clinic. We returned around seven in the evening and at this point had no idea if hubby had finished with the tree but to our surprise, just as we are about to enter our dimly lighted unit, hubby opened the lights on a very beautiful christmas tree. My thoughtful husband waited for our son to finish it off with the traditional putting of the star on top of our tree.  Ian was so happy, it was just one of those family moments that gives you a certain high.

Because this christmas tree was put up with so much love in our hearts, I think its the most beautiful christmas tree ever.
